Rumors Confirmed Like Ray Boltz:Jennifer Knapp Is A Lesbian It was just two years ago that Ray Boltz announced publicly that he was gay. Now we are seeing a very similar discussion behind Jennifer Knapp. She has announced publicly that she is gay as well and as a Christian music artist, there as been some controversy over the situation. She was doing an interview with a homosexual publication and this is where the news came out. She also stated that she and a woman have been together for close to eight years now. This announcement has come out just one month before her newest album known as “Letting Go” has been planned to be released. Knapp is the winner of the Dove award and really disappeared from the music industry in 2003. She stated that she was in fear that her fans would not accept her as a lesbian and that she wouldn’t be able to sell her music. She also told everyone that for the people that enjoy her writings, listening to her music, and liked that she was a person of faith, she felt it was the honest thing to do to come out and explain her sexuality. She no longer wanted to live behind a secret and she wants people to accept her for what she is. There have been rumors in the past about her sexuality, so perhaps this was the best decision she could make for her situation. If you are familiar with Ray Boltz then you are probably aware that he too divorced his wife of 33 years in marriage and announced that he was gay. Ray had four children and then decided to turn from his family and move in with his gay partner. Knapp also said she doesn’t choose to get involved with pro-gay groups and that she is just a normal human like the rest of us.
