Love Doesn’t Want Robert Pattinson To Play Kurt Cobain - Courtney Love denies rumors that she wants Robert Pattinson to play Kurt Cobain in an upcoming biopic. Last week, it was widely reported that Courtney was casting a film about her late husband’s life and wanted Pattinson to play Cobain and Scarlett Johannsson to play herself. While the Internet giggled at these suggestions, Love fired back and said the rumor was “stupid.” She told The Canadian Press:

“Isn’t that so stupid, who would cast him?” she says. “That’s just wrong, no offense. I watched the Twilight stuff very, very recently and I get it, it resonates with the teenaged girl in me, I understand epic love of that nature; I write about it all the time. But isn’t that silly?”

Love would cast either Ryan Gosling (which seems odd) or James McAvoy as the Nirvana lead singer. She also would like Sting’s wife, Trudie Styler, to work behind the scenes to “ensure the movie is done right.”

No word on whether or not she’d like ScarJo to play herself.
